Misslaufer graduated with a BFA in drawing from Edinboro University in 2014. She continued her education in 2016 by taking digital design classes from The Art Institute of Seattle.
As a result of her human anatomy studies, the female form often dominates her illustrations. Though her creative subject matter has changed over the years, ranging from the cosmetic macabre to the cosmic carnal, the influence of the occult has underscored the breadth of her work.
She currently works from her studio in North End Tacoma, Washington as a freelance illustrator with her cat Bean. When not creating, Ashley devotes her time to developing her personal brand, (@misslaufer), established in 2011.
"Creating is never a waste of time."
